Docs tell a developer your tool exists. They rarely show it solving a problem that looks like theirs, in two minutes, on a screen. That second thing is where adoption actually happens — and it's the piece most funded teams never ship.
So we went and counted. We pulled 100 funded developer-tool companies and looked for a video channel a developer could actually find and learn from.
48 of 100 had nothing
Not a thin channel — nothing a developer could find. Half the field is invisible on the exact surface where developers go to watch someone use a tool before they commit to it.
Content isn't the hard part. Keeping a channel alive is a full-time job, and in-house it's nobody's.
The companies that did show up weren't the best-funded. They were the ones who treated the channel like a product with an owner — not a side project someone gets to when a sprint has a gap.
